Randle Clinic ● Welcomed family medicine physician Travis Podbilski, DO. Mossyrock Clinic ● Welcomed family medicine physician Victoria Acosta, DO. Emergency Department ● Created a joint team with the volunteer fire departments to improve communication and teamwork. Community Outreach ● The Revenue Cycle Department held our first-ever Youth Health Fair. ● Multiple departments held our first-ever Wellness Week in September, with a 5K walk/run and a virtual community education series. ● The Randle Clinic, Morton Clinic and Mossyrock Clinic: ● Held three drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Packwood. ● Held drive-thru flu vaccination clinics in Mossyrock, Morton and Packwood. ● The Dietary Department conducted four free virtual cooking classes. ● The Dietary Department provided $5 curbside-pickup meals for senior citizens all year long, as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Rehabilitation Services ● Partnered with the University of Washington in a study of the effectiveness of virtual exercise classes for seniors, followed by our independent Enhanced Fitness program. ● Continued to assist the local school districts in developing an independent concussion management program. ● Enhanced the aquatic therapy program by helping a staff member achieve the highest level of certification through the American Physical Therapy Association. Arbor Health Foundation ● Welcomed new Foundation Manager Jessica Scogin. ● Awarded $23,182 in educational scholarships to Arbor Health employees. Surgery Department ● To meet the needs of the new orthopedic surgeon and foot and ankle surgeon, invested in a C-arm imaging scanner for the operating room. Laboratory Department ● Purchased a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing machine to be able to process molecular COVID-19 tests, in addition to rapid testing. Morton Hospital ● Promoted LeeAnn Evans, RN, to Director of Inpatient and Emergency Services. ● Welcomed new Compliance Officer Spencer Hargett to the staff. New Specialty Services ● Behavioral Health Specialist Carolyn Price, LICSW, joined the medical staff in February, working out of all three primary care clinics. ● Orthopedic surgeon Robert Williams, MD, joined the medical staff part-time in June. ● Foot and ankle surgeon G. Parker Peresko, DPM, joined the medical staff full-time in September. Accreditations ● Morton Hospital was accredited as a Critical Access Hospital through DNV. ● The Emergency Department was certified as Acute Stroke Ready through DNV. ● The Sleep Lab’s accreditation through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine was renewed, as well as its ranking as a Center of Excellence by the Washington State Health Authority.
